Musa Reems, the 19 year old Chicagoan and member of the Hip-Hop collective Children of I.L.L.I.O.S., is taking a slight break from the crew to find his own sound in pursuit of his forthcoming, debut solo effort, Where The Sun Never Rises.

Despite the often taxing efforts to discover himself musically, Reems focus has been steadfast and deliberate, working on every tool of the trade necessary to foster the mastered skills of a top notch MC. And, in anticipation of his upcoming album, Reems gives listeners a preview of what to expect with the aptly titled EP, Another Dos(e).

The two track affair begins with “Eclipse,” sporting producer JLL’s soulful Boom-Bap instrumental spliced with airy vocals from Amare Symoné, who recently featured Reems in her “Break Of Mind” visuals, and Musa’s ripping flows. The finale, “Colt 45,” has Musa Reems continuing his bar stuffing ways, flexing cadences and boastful lyrics about driving out the competition over SWM’s piano plunged, hi-hat heavy production.

Take a listen and watch out for Musa Reem’s album, Where The Sun Never Rises, when it drops.
