It’s been four long years since Christopher Breaux, more affectionately known as Frank Ocean, released his debut album, channel ORANGE, in fact, his last work came most recently with Sia and Vic Mensa on Kanye West’s single “Wolves” from his The Life of Pablo album. But today, it seems we may be getting his second studio album, Boys Don’t Cry, very, very soon.
Ocean, who after deleting his Twitter account has dove deeper and deeper into social isolation, recently took to his website and posted a picture of a library card with dates, both old and in the future, sloppily stamped in sequence.
The final date on the card reads July 2016, with the actual day blotted out in red ink. Ocean seems to be keeping up with his promise, as he had previously announced a July release last April with the tagline, “I got two versions. I got twooo versions…”
It’s been a long time coming for the quiet R&B star, but all we have left to do now is wait and see if we get one or two versions from Mr. Ocean.
