A week removed from unveiling the Kendrick Lamar assisted visuals for “By Any Means,” Schoolboy Q continues his trend of dropping dimes that are part short film, part music video in conjunction with his forthcoming album, Blank Face.

“Tookie Knows 2 (Pt. 2)” is set to be the album’s closing track, as well as the follow up to Q’s wobbly, ad-lib jammed interlude cut from his second studio album, Habits & Contradictions, which comes almost four years since the initial release.

As for the video itself, onlookers are taken to a pawn shop robbery and a subsequent trip to Melrose Ave to reap the benefits of the crew’s come up. The direction follows a similar path as the previous video, giving viewers an inside look through the glamour and grit that personifies Schoolboy’s neighborhood, all while depicting the harsh realities that come with living in it.

Laced over a darkly elegant piano sample from Chicago producers Nez & Rio, Q is shown locked up alongside fellow MC’s TF and Traffic as the music drops, spitting poignantly on the track’s tragically honest hook, “We might die for this shit,” to expose the grim truth of their gang banging ways.

To be continued…

Take a listen and cop Blank Face, July 8.
