With a musical lineage and family history that gave rise to a passion for writing rhymes, New Orleans born MC Saint Oeaux (f/k/a/ Saint Orleans) has been working independently and diligently for over six years to make it in the Hip-Hop world.
For Saint Oeaux’s latest release, the current St. Louis resident pays homage to Hip-Hop of years past and more specifically, the year “1994,” as seen through his own eyes. Over a dark, hustling Boom Bap production donning ominous vocal samples from fellow NOLA rapper Lil’ Wayne’s Tha Carter II single, “Best Rapper Alive,” Oeaux kicks down the door of the streets in stark black and white visuals and spits a slick flow filled with braggadocious bars and references to 90’s Hip-Hop culture.
Take a look and find this cut and more on Saint Oeaux’s latest project, Via Dolorosa.
